    Basic Alterations

    Hemming of pants, sleeves and skirts (simple hemmed pants (like jeans), sleeves and skirts ($17/item)
    - More complex items with ribbed cuffs, folded cuffs, lace cuffs or edging ($25+/item) (quotes available)
    Sewing on buttons ($1 per button)
    Fixing rips, tears or worn areas (quotes available – usually $5 - $25/ item)
    Fixing zippers or replacing zippers ($20 plus zipper cost at 1.5 times the cost of the notion)
    Taking in waistbands permanently or for children’s clothing (that can be let out later) ($10/item)
    Putting in darts ($10 - $25/item)
    Removing collars or hoods from shirts or jackets ($10 - $20/item)
    Putting on strength patches for work clothing or children's clothing ($10/item, plus the cost of the patch)

    Timeframe:
    Hemmed items, buttons, waistbands, removing collars and hoods and patches take approximately 1 - 3 days

    Mending Children's Clothing

    Mending - fixing rips, tears, adding strength patches (quotes available –usually $5 - $25/item)
    Waist Shortening: Putting in removable darts to shrink the waistband. Can be picked out and removed as the child grows. ($10/item)
    Hemming: pants, sleeves and skirts (simple hemmed pants (like jeans), sleeves and skirts ($10/item) - More complex items with ribbed cuffs, folded cuffs, lace cuffs or edging ($25+/item) (quotes available)

    Removal of: hoods or collars ($10 - $20) Quotes available.
    Payment: upon pick up of item.

    Mending of Socks or Knitting/Crochet Items

    Mending Socks:

    Mending all types of socks or reinforcing heals ($15/pair) (quotes given if unique fibers need to be used or patches used)

    Time Frame: 2 days

    Knitted or Crochet Items: Mending tears, holes, reinforcing elbows or fixing frayed hems/collars. Items could include sweaters, socks, hats, mitts, scarves, vests, jackets. (Quotes given)

    NOTE: I do not guarantee the exact same type or color of yarn can be found or used to fix a fiber item. I will do my best to find something similar and will show customer before proceeding with the work. This way the customer can decide if they want the item mended or not.

    Note: Embroidery to cover up a tear or rip is also an option.

    Payment: Upon pick up of item or half down, if a specific type of yarn needs to be purchased for the mend. Remaining funds must be paid upon pick up of item. The extra yarn that was purchased for the mend and then not used, is given to the customer upon payment.
